Back in 2022, I got a message from long-time collaborator, photographer Duncan Wright, asking if I’d be interested in working with him on the next Nicholas Allbrook solo album. It was one of the easiest questions I’ve ever been asked.

‘Beneath the Surface’ has been updated to include new trial fonts, works in progress and potential typefaces. They’re for playing with, testing out and having fun. So dip in a toe in, test the water and see what lies beneath the surface at Swim.

Had an absolute blast over in Sydney for the AGDA Awards ceremony this weekend, leaving incredibly proud of the work I've done over the first proper year of SWIM! 😊 SWIM won a Distinction and a Judges Choice for Villanelle 2.0 Typeface, a Merit for the Villanelle 2.0 Specimen and two more Merits for the SWIM Identity itself. 🤯

The first Fremante Design Week is launching this weekend and Gabi Fountain and I will be presenting ‘Design Design Week’, talking through the development of FDW’s identity, the value of creative collaboration and probably some other stuff that we haven’t thought of yet.

🤯 I’m a Young Guns 20 finalist!!! Young Guns, run by The One Club for Creativity, recognises the best creatives worldwide, age 30 and under, and my fellow finalists are just crazy talented, so I’m obviously super stoked, very honoured, and can’t really believe I made it this far. 😁😁😁
